In Piazza del Plebiscito one may find the iconic symbol of Martina Franca: the Basilica of San Martino. Moreover, several other places of interest are in the area, such as Chiesa del Carmine, Chiesa di San Francesco from Assisi and Chiesa di Sant’Antonio dei Cappuccini. In Piazza Roma is situated Palazzo Ducale, the historical and political centre of the town, with the Science and the Art Museums.
