In the professional kitchen of a beautiful villa in the center of Ballarò, today a reception center for migrants and disabled people, discover the tastiest recipes of Palermo street food.
A meeting, rather than a simple cooking lesson, where the narrative of Cotti in Fragranza's social experience mixes with the ingredients, heat up with the cooking on and with the warmth of the people you meet and finally happily savored all together.
The social action of Cotti in Fragranza develops from the Malaspina juvenile prison to evolve in the kitchen of the Casa San Francesco, a reception center for migrants and disabled people in the heart of Ballarò. The cooking workshop lasts an hour, from 18 to 19; chef Francesco, together with the guys from the house, will go from history to the preparation of some Sicilian dishes such as Panelle and Crocchè, arancine and other must-haves from the Sicilian rotisserie; and they will tell us how work is an important key to change and recovery for them.
It ends with an aperitivo of delights prepared together with a tasting of wines from the Tenute Orestiadi, born from a cooperative of wine growers and the Orestiadi Foundation, which has been committed to promoting the area through cultural events for years.
Finally, also visit the house, the terrace, and the garden.
