The tasting will take place after the guided tour of the historic buildings of the winery: the Baglio Federiciano, the Baglio dei Ricordi (historical Sicilian buildings where wine is made), the historic garden, and the ancient eighteenth-century millstone. Afterward, you can sit in the cellar for a tasting of five wines paired with simple dishes of the peasant tradition: local cold cuts and cheeses, Tumminia bread with olive oil, "impanate" and "Vota Vota" of vegetables and ricotta, olives, salad.
With a long family tradition, the historic winery has recovered the lost taste of Moscato di Siracusa and renewed the more consolidated one of Nero d'Avola. Its vineyards grow in heterogeneous soils where the limestone component, which gives delicacy to the Moscato grapes, alternates and the volcanic one, which instead strengthens the body of the reds and Nero d'Avola. In this oasis of greenery, which creeps into the fertile Syracusan plain of Epipoli and breathes the salty air of the nearby Mediterranean coast, the prestigious labels that you will try in the tasting are born, and you will take part in a century-long family tradition.
