Workshop of smartphone photography in the historic center

Available on Fridays

A 3h30 tour to learn to take photos with our smartphone and reanimate the creativity, sight after sight we discover what is the most photogenic district of Palermo, from the colorful market district of Ballarò to the new social-care oriented Danisinni.

In this dynamic workshop, the Siciscatta tutors help us to use the full potential of our smartphone.
We discover our creativity and different facets of Palermo, a city where layers of history and cultures build up over the centuries, so every sight is a charm.

We learn the composition and framing and learn to use the light and the contrasts to take high-quality photos.
We immerse in monumental architecture, colors, and perfumes of the historic Ballarò market, the beating heart of the city.

We visit the ancient neighborhood of Danisinni, once the poorest and isolated where the unemployment rate hit 90%, now requalified by its people through cultural, artistic and social movements. Here, we practice documentary photography and capture the faces of people behind the innovative social project that redefine new urban spaces.

We will explore the educational farm of Danisinni to experiment with perspectives and light.
In a final work lab, we use the applications to edit the photos and we share our best shots.
