Still off the main tourist circuits of Sicily, Terrasini is a lovely village which is luckily still untouched by mass tourism.
Just avoid the middle two weeks of August to enjoy its coastal cliffs, its sandy or rocky beaches and its pretty pedestrian square.
The coasts and beaches of Terrasini are perfect for surfing and windsurfing, for sailing, kite surfing, diving etc. Beside it is the natural reserve, Capo Rama (managed by the WWF) and the surrounding hills are ideal for trekking and cycling. The local Museum D’Aumale is worth a visit, with its archaeological finds and folklore and nature displays. The Museum has beautiful ethnographical collections (such as old Sicilian horse-carts, model boats, material culture) and natural wonders (paleontological, malacological, entomological, ornithological and mammals) and also terrestrial and marine archaeological finds. In summer, the Museum D’Aumale hosts concerts and other cultural activities in its lovely courtyard.
