Apulia is loved by the people who are attracted by sea and seaside places. From the beaches on the Adriatic Sea up north to the ones on the Ionian Sea in the South, the perfect beach is always at hand! What about the weather? It's always sunny and warm as in all southern regions on the Mediterranean Sea.
The past of this region is strictly linked to the cultures of the Mediterranean. Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Normans, Frederick II and Bourbon: everyone has left something there.
Foggia, the city in the north, Bari, the capital of the region, the harbor cities Brindisi and Taranto and the beautiful Lecce: they're all wonderful baroque or medieval centers.

Local and national festivals take place in Apulia, in particular concerning art, theater, and music. Two of the most relevant ones are the Jazz Festival of Otranto and the Night of Taranta, where the traditional dance is done.
