Historical center

This zone is the ideal place for those who want to visit the city on foot. It’s surely the most beautiful area to stay, you will find yourself in the magical atmosphere of Verona: this means you can enjoy the delicious food and the beautiful art. The most famous streets in this area are Piazza delle Erbe, Piazza Brà, via dei Pellicciai and Piazza dei Signori.

The historical center is the ideal place for the ones who stay in the city for a couple of days with the aim of visiting it and enjoying it at night as well, since it can be explored on foot. It is a restricted traffic area, so keep in mind that you can not go there by car, but the central station of Porta Nuova is just 15 minutes away.

Cittadella

This zone is perfect for those who want an accommodation between the historical center and the central station. Cittadella is calm, rich in service and it’s ideal for families and people who don’t love crowded places. Moreover, in this neighborhood, there are also many attractions, such as Piazza Cittadella and the Museo degli Affreschi. There are also numerous taverns, bars, pizzerias and shops.

Hence, it’s a convenient area if you are coming by bus or by train, as well as if you are coming by car, because it is not a restricted traffic area. Furthermore, the neighborhood is very close to the historical center, easily accessible on foot and well served by public transport.

Porta Nuova

It’s where the central station Porta Nuova is located, so it’s very convenient for those who travel by train and want to visit other surrounding cities, too. Furthermore, this area is also close to the historical center, which is 15 minutes far.

Veronetta

Veronetta is an unusual neighborhood to stay in, as it is not at the top of tourists’ choices. Nevertheless, this does not mean that it’s not worth a try. Veronetta is an alternative neighborhood, the oldest one in the city, where the real Veronese people live. Here you can fully understand the soul of Verona.
This neighborhood is on the other side of the river Adige, it is home to the University of Verona and it is full of bars for young people.

Verona Fiere

This area is recommended for those who come to Verona with the aim of attending the numerous trade fairs, such as Vinitaly. Although it is close to the congress area, it’s only 30 minutes far from the historical center, in case you would like to pay it a visit.
