Lake Como offers some of the most evocative urban, landscape and architectural gems of the entire Italian peninsula. Among these treasures, Bellagio stands out, the Pearl of Lario, a village of just over 3,000 inhabitants on the northern tip of the Larian Triangle, where the two branches of the Lake divide.
Among the most fascinating aspects of this village are undoubtedly its enchanting villas, famous worldwide for their splendour and meticulously maintained gardens. Among the most famous are Villa Melzi, with its 18 km of roads and paths in the garden and its works of art, and Villa Serbelloni, now a study and conference centre of the Rockefeller Foundation, which features a marvellous garden. The historic centre, with its numerous small shops located along narrow stepped alleys, passages and porticos, is renowned worldwide and attracts thousands of tourists every year. The territory of Bellagio is vast and varied; one can visit the different lakeside hamlets such as Borgo di Bellagio, Loppia, San Giovanni and Pescallo, up to the peak of Monte San Primo, accessible via a dense network of paths and routes for trekking and nature lovers. Finally, Bellagio is well connected by boat to nearby villages such as Varenna, Lenno, Bellano, Menaggio, Tremezzo and Como.
The apartment is 1.4 km from the bus station and the Bellagio pier and 1 hour and 20 minutes by car from Orio al Serio airport.
