San Paolo Suites is an independent house spread over three levels accessible by stairs; it houses several accommodations and a shared terrace on the top level furnished with a coffee table. Overlooking the spectacular gulf dominated by the island of Tavolara, Olbia is the main tourist destination in northern Sardinia. In the center are the medieval Basilica of San Simplicio and the Archaeological Museum, exhibiting artifacts from Nuragic artifacts to Roman warships, and in the hills just outside the city, overlooking the gulf, the archaeological site Nuraghe Riu Mulinu. Olbia's coastal area alternates between beaches and cliffs of incomparable beauty, including Pittulongu, Porto Istana, Le Saline, Li Cuncheddi, and Bados. The traditional food and wine are also worth discovering, in the numerous restaurants and festivals. Capretto al mirto and Zuppa Gallurese for a land-based dinner, sea urchins, botargo, mussels, and oysters if you prefer to try the fish of the gulf. To accompany, a good Vermentino di Gallura DOCG is a must, and to finish a delicious seada with honey and a glass of homemade myrtle.
