Ostuni, known worldwide as the White City, is the jewel of the Itria Valley. Its historic center, dazzling in its brilliant white and vastness, culminates with the Cathedral that imperiously overlooks the olive grove plain, the coastal dune park, and a clear, crystalline sea. Its characteristic alleys, Piazza della Libertà, and the column of St. Oronzo that majestically protects the town add to its charm. The surrounding countryside extends into the heart of the Itria Valley. A few kilometers away is Ceglie Messapica, a center of tradition and gastronomy; Cisternino, a village recognized as one of Italy’s most beautiful; and Alberobello, whose famous trulli have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996. About 30 kilometers to the north lie the Archaeological Park of Egnazia, Monopoli, and Polignano a Mare, ancient fishing villages with evocative historic centers and beautiful beaches. To the north (80 kilometers) lies Bari, the gateway to the East, while heading south, one first encounters the Torre Guaceto natural reserve, then Brindisi, before reaching Lecce, the capital of Baroque. Moving west, there is Taranto, the heart of Magna Graecia, and finally Matera, renowned for its Sassi and its designation as European Capital of Culture in 2019.
In the area where the accommodation is located, local short-distance public transportation is not available. It is therefore recommended to reach the destination by car.
