Wine tastings in Campania

Campania is a region with very ancient wine culture, dating back to Greek and Roman times. During the last years, the region has been producing high-quality fine wines, both red and white. This happens thanks to the geographical characteristics of the territory, which consists of many hills and a small plain. In Campania, there are 14 PDC areas, many of which have black grape varieties, but there are also white ones. The main areas are Benevento and Avellino, the one at the slopes of Mount Vesuvius, as well as the islands of Capri and Ischia and the Sorrento peninsula.

Among the most famous wines in Campania, you'll find Aglianico and Taurasi, which are red, and Falanghina and Greco di Tufo, white ones.

Below, you will find some wine tastings in Campania, the most singular and educational ones, in old wineries and wine bars of the area.
