Wonderful Italy aims to produce a positive change of short, medium and long term through tourism. We have selected some clear objectives, specific indicators and measurable activities to engage the business activity in the short rental and tour operating sectors. The goals of the projects respond to the need to operate as a cohesive enterprise, aware of its interdependence with the territories, actors and communities we work with.
Born to create sustainable value thanks to the support of responsible investors, Wonderful Italy pursues competitiveness and profit without a speculative approaches. We measure not only the traditional company performance, but also the positive change that we are able to generate, identifying direct and indirect impact. The direct impact of the Wonderful Italy model is to make unconventional tourist destinations accessible and attractive to travelers and beneficial to territories, e.g. through the enhancement of underused properties and support small local tourism operators.
Three objectives have been chosen:
A positive indirect social impact can also be achieved through participation in initiatives in the suburbs; partnerships with institutional and social actors; support to local co-ops and micro-enterprises; collaborations with the third sector; agreements with institutions for the legality in tourism.
To make our indirect impact visible, in 2022 Wonderful Italy identified, with its investors, three new goals in order to strengthe the positive effects of our presence in the territories:
Every year a social impact report presents the results achieved, the partners, the territories involved and the projects followed (over 20 only in 2022 and 2023) on topics such as inclusion, the environment, gender equality and development of social enterprises.
