Bardonecchia is the furthest westwards Italian town, and one of the most famous ski destinations in Italy. It’s well connected with Torino, you can reach it in an hour and a half by train. Bardonecchia is perfect for relaxing and admiring the surrounding valleys: this town is located in a basin where four valleys merge, offering a breathtaking view and 100km of ski slope.
This village is so small that it doesn’t even count a thousand inhabitants, but it is the highest village in Italy, as it reaches 2000 meters above sea level. Sestrière is a very famous destination for Piedmont inhabitants since it offers many activities for its visitors. Easily reachable by train from Torino, Sauze d’Oulx is a village of the so-called Via Lattea. It is also referred to as “the balcony of the Alps”, thanks to its geographical position: it offers a wonderful view on the mountains and the valley.

Nowadays it’s a popular destination among Turinese, also because there are thermae, which offer the possibility to relax after a day on the slopes.
