Public beaches in Apulia

Apulia faces two seas, the Adriatic and the Ionian one. Both coasts are wonderful, and without any doubt among the most famous in Italy. There are beautiful public beaches, either with sand or stones, well-kept and with crystal-clear water.

Torre Pozzelle, Ostuni

The beach of Torre Pozzelle in Ostuni, near Brindisi, is surely among the most beautiful ones in the region. There is a series of small traits with white sand surrounded by Mediterranean Scrub, with the two towers in the background.

Torre Santa Sabina, Carovigno

Torre Santa Sabina is a town near Carovigno, in the province of Brindisi. The beach in this location is enchanted, with white sand and crystal-clear water. Everything is even more fascinating with the picturesque village and the tower in the background.

Reserve of Torre Guaceto, Carovigno

The Nature Reserve of Torre Guaceto is one of the most beautiful protected areas in the world. There is a spectacular sea, where many native species are preserved. You can swim, snorkel, or just lay under the sun.

Specchiolla, Ostuni

The beach of Specchiolla is in the South of Ostuni, between the city and the Nature Reserve of Torre Guaceto. It has golden sand and blue water, making it one of the most peculiar locations in the region.

Pantanagianni, Carovigno

Pantanagianni is in Carovigno, between Specchiolla and Santa Sabina. There are two beaches with white sand, one bigger than the other. The smaller one is public, even though sometimes it can be a bit crowded.

Beach Lama Monachile, Polignano a Mare

Lama Monachile, one of the panoramic viewpoints in Polignano a Mare, near Bari, also hosts a beautiful beach, which is breathtaking thanks to the view. It is located between two cliffs, and it's in the city center. Usually is very crowded, which is why we also suggest Cala Sala and Cala Incina that are also in the city.

Beach of Costa Merlata, Ostuni

The Beach of Costa Merlata is among the most popular ones in the region. It's particularly indicated for kids, as the sea is not so deep for many meters. It also has facilitated accesses for people in a wheelchair.
