Liguria has generally pebble beaches, even though there are some sandy ones, with long and golden coastlines. They are often hidden between cliffs, and for this reason, they are unknown to many people.

In this article, you will find a list of sandy beaches in Liguria, where kids can build sandcastles and the seabed is not that deep.

Paraggi, Santa Margherita Ligure

Paraggi, a little town near Santa Margherita Ligure, has a wonderful and golden sandy beach. Near Portofino, the water is turquoise and very clean.

Baia delle Favole, Sestri Levante

In the Gulf of Tigullio, Baia delle Favole is located in Sestri Levante, on the Ligurian Riviera in the East of Genova. The sea and the beach are enchanted, as well as one of the longest sandy coastlines in Liguria.

Monterosso, Cinque Terre

Cinque Terre generally doesn't have sandy beaches, which can be considered very rare. Anyway, the one in Monterosso is a beautiful exception. It's called Spiaggia della Fenigia, and it has white sand and blue water. Since it's the only sandy beach in Cinque Terre, it can be very crowded.

Cavi di Lavagna, Genova

The beach of Cavi di Lavagna, near Genova, is beautiful and sandy. The atmosphere is even more magical thanks to the picturesque village in the background.

Punta Corvo, Ameglia

Ameglia is a town in the province of La Spezia, on the Ligurian Riviera in the West. In Punta Corvo, there is a sandy beach hidden in the cliff. It's accessible through stairs after a path in nature.

Beach of San Terenzo, Lerici

In the province of La Spezia, in Lerici, you can find the beach of San Terenzo. It is divided into a private and a public part, both with fine sand and an intense blue seabed.
