In 2021, the Welcome Guest cooperative was founded in Palermo, an innovative project created and implemented by a group of young unemployed and precarious workers with the aim of generating new job opportunities in the tourism hospitality and logistics sector. Since then, Welcome Guest has managed over 25,000 check-ins, providing a professional and accurate service to tourists and visitors, and has expanded its activities with a wide range of logistical services. The cooperative stands out for its social commitment, striving to improve the working conditions of its members and positively contribute to the city's economic fabric.

Wonderful Italy has provided support through assignments, mentorship, and networking to acquire new clients and launch a new branch in Turin, as discussed by Loredana Gazzera, CEO of the Piemonte Hub:

"The launch of Welcome Guest Turin on July 1, 2024, makes us very proud. The local board currently consists of 4 people, and since its inception, they have been guided by the Palermo cooperative active since 2021.

It is concrete proof that our sector creates jobs. Two months after starting operations, the cooperative already has various clients with over 200 apartments to manage in Turin.

The establishment of the cooperative has allowed us to further professionalize the hospitality sector. People, in fact, are more stable compared to before, and as a result, the quality of service improves."
