overview
Nestled in complete tranquillity and surrounded by nature, this splendid historic cottage stands in an elevated, commanding position offering breathtaking views. From here, the view stretches out to offer a truly unique panorama of the sea and the charming historic centre. The property stands out for its generous outdoor spaces: the large garden wraps around the entire house and features a delightful private pine grove with a small table, perfect for relaxing in the shade on summer days.
The property is laid out on a single level; at the entrance is the spacious living room, furnished with a sofa and armchairs and featuring marvellous frescoes on the ceiling. Moving further through the house, you’ll find the separate, fully-equipped kitchen; from here, a staircase leads up to the terrace with views of the town and the sea. The sleeping area comprises one double bedroom. Ceiling frescoes can be found throughout almost the entire house.
*Upon arrival or a few days before arrival it may be required to pay a tourist tax, which varies according to local regulations. You will find your reservation details within the Guest Area of Wonderful Italy.
Ostuni, known to the world as the White City, is the pearl of the Itria Valley. Its blindingly white, immense historic center culminates in the Cathedral that soars over the plain of olive trees, the coastal dune park, and a crystal-clear sea. Characteristic are its narrow streets, the Piazza della Libertà, and the column of St. Oronzo that majestically protects the town.
Its countryside stretches into the heart of the Itria Valley. A few kilometers away is Ceglie Messapica, a center of tradition and enogastronomy; Cisternino, a village recognized as one of the most beautiful in Italy; and Alberobello, whose famous trulli have been a world heritage site since 1996. About 30 km to the north we find the Archaeological Park of Egnatia, Monopoli, and Polignano a Mare, ancient fishing villages with a charming historic center and beautiful beaches. To the north we find Bari, the gateway to the East, while proceeding south we first encounter the Torre Guaceto nature reserve, then Brindisi to reach Lecce, the capital of Baroque. Moving westward there is Taranto, the heart of Magna Graecia, and finally to Matera, characteristic of its Sassi and European Capital of Culture 2019.
The accommodation is a 25-minute drive from Brindisi Airport and about a 6-minute drive from Ostuni railway station.
